A Pocket alternative for finding what you saved.

Pocket shut down on July 8, 2025. Sendlore is for people who need more than another read-later queue. Save links, videos, social posts, files, notes, and forwarded email with the context that makes them useful later.

Pocket was built around reading later. Sendlore is built around finding later.

Pocket

Pocket primarily focused on saving web articles for later reading. Its experience emphasized a clean reading queue rather than a mixed-media research library.

Sendlore

Sendlore is designed as your personal knowledge library. It preserves the original source, your reason for saving, and any extracted information. Powerful search tools help you find what you saved—whether it’s a link, file, note, or video—when it matters. Sendlore is built for discovery, not just storage.

Sendlore vs. Pocket

Pocket shut down on July 8, 2025. Sendlore is not a one-for-one replacement: Pocket was a reading product; Sendlore is a personal knowledge library built around keeping context, finding saves again, and reusing them.

Key differences at a glance

Availability
Pocket shut down in July 2025. Sendlore is available for saving and finding information today.
Reading versus retrieval
Pocket was a dedicated reading queue. Sendlore focuses on source context, searchable saved content, and asking questions across your library.
Moving old saves
There is no direct Pocket sync. If you saved an export before the shutdown, you can extract compatible URLs and import them into Sendlore.

Import means bringing over compatible files or URL lists, not transferring a live Pocket account. Extract ZIP archives first. For a Pocket CSV, copy the URL column into a plain-text list (one URL per line); Sendlore does not have a dedicated Pocket CSV importer. A save may contain only available metadata when full text, video transcripts, or social content cannot be retrieved. How bookmark imports work.

Bring over the saves you still have.

Pocket shut down on July 8, 2025, and its export-only access ended on November 12, 2025. Sendlore cannot access a closed Pocket account. If you kept an export before the deadline, you can move its saved URLs into Sendlore using a compatible format.

Already have your old links?

Bring links you already have into Sendlore. A Pocket export is not a one-click account transfer: ZIPs must be extracted, and Pocket CSVs must be converted to URL-only lists.

Only saved URLs and available source information move through this method; Pocket tags, highlights, original save dates, and archived article text are not reconstructed. If you did not export your Pocket saves, you can still start with links in your browser bookmarks. Mozilla’s shutdown timeline.

Find it by what you remember, not just its title.

Search by topic, concept, or detail you remember. Sendlore ranks matching saves by meaning and can surface useful context across the items in your library.

Keep why you saved it—not just the URL.

A link becomes hard to reuse when the reason you saved it disappears. Sendlore keeps the source and your note together, then adds a summary and key takeaways when enough source content is available.

Save more than articles.

Keep links, videos, social posts, files, notes, forwarded email, and selected text in one library. Extraction depends on the source, so some saves may remain light or metadata-only rather than pretending every source can be fully read.
  • Sendlore inbox list with saved Instagram, YouTube and shopping links and their summaries

    Web links and articles

Keep a source link and available page details together. Full text and summaries depend on what the source makes accessible.

  • A saved YouTube video in Sendlore with its summary, key takeaways and transcript tab

    Videos and transcripts

Find saved videos by their titles, available transcripts and other captured context. Not every platform makes transcripts available.

  • Sendlore inbox board with saves grouped by status and labelled by category

    Social posts and mixed saves

Review mixed saved sources in one inbox. Social-post extraction varies by platform and some saves may contain only basic details.

  • Sendlore Gift ideas collection with saved product links

    Collections and ideas

Collect related ideas and links in folders or collections, with your own notes about why they matter.

Who Sendlore is best for

If Pocket was your reading queue, Sendlore is a stronger fit when you want to find and reuse what you saved across different projects. It is designed for people who regularly return to old sources—not just people building a list of articles to read later.

  • Students & researchers

Keep articles, PDFs, lecture videos, notes, and references together. Search by a subject or remembered detail, then return to the original source when you need to check or cite it.

    Explore research workflows
  • Content writers & marketers

Save sources, campaign examples, and ideas with the reason they mattered. Find material again for an article update, a new brief, or a future campaign rather than rebuilding your research.

    Explore content workflows
  • Founders & builders

Keep competitor pages, product examples, customer feedback, and technical references with your own context. Revisit that evidence when a product decision or development task comes back.

    Explore founder workflows

Sendlore is a personal research library, not a full substitute for Pocket's dedicated reading experience. How much text, transcript, or other context is available depends on the source and capture method.

Sendlore may not be the right Pocket replacement if…

If reading itself is the product you want, a dedicated reader may fit better. Sendlore is strongest when the job is keeping context, retrieving mixed-format saves, and turning them back into useful information.

Where Sendlore fits among Pocket replacements

Instapaper

A better fit when your priority is a simple, dedicated read-later experience and offline reading.

Readwise Reader

A better fit when deep reading, highlighting and annotation are central to your workflow.

Raindrop.io

Sendlore

Questions about switching from Pocket

Straight answers about what can—and cannot—carry over from Pocket, plus the current Sendlore limits that matter when switching.
If you already downloaded a Pocket export, you can still bring its URLs over. Extract any ZIP, copy the URL column from a Pocket CSV into a plain-text list (one URL per line), then paste that list into Sendlore’s Import tool. Standard browser-bookmark HTML files are supported separately. There is no direct Pocket account sync, dedicated Pocket CSV parser, or way to recover Pocket data that was never exported. Mozilla closed the export service on November 12, 2025.
Not primarily. Sendlore is a personal knowledge library built for saving mixed content, keeping why it mattered, and finding it again later. If a dedicated reading experience is your main priority, a traditional read-later app may fit better.
Yes, from supported sources. Extraction varies by platform, and some saves may keep only the link, title, author, thumbnail, or other available details.
Yes. Sendlore supports Markdown and JSON exports for portability, backup, and use in other tools.
There is no native mobile app. The responsive Sendlore web app works in desktop and phone browsers. The Chrome extension is currently an early release for desktop Chrome.
The save can still keep the available link, title, and page details so it remains findable. Full extraction depends on the source, and some items may remain partial or need review.
