Import X / Twitter Bookmarks into Sendlore

X / Twitter bookmark import

Import X bookmarks into Sendlore.

Request your X data archive, extract it, upload the archive’s data/bookmarks.js file to Sendlore, then review the detected posts before importing. Your saved X links can live beside articles, videos, notes, and other research instead of staying isolated inside one social app.

X Bookmarks are private inside X. Sendlore only receives the bookmark file you explicitly export and upload.

Step 1

Request your archive from X.

X’s current account-data flow requires authentication and can take time to prepare. The archive arrives as a ZIP file, but Sendlore does not need the entire ZIP.

01

Open X Settings

In X, go to Settings and privacy, then Your account.

02

Choose Download an archive

Open Download an archive of your data and complete X’s account verification step.

03

Request the archive

Submit the archive request. X says preparation may take a few days and will notify you when the download is ready.

04

Download and extract the ZIP

Download the archive while signed in, then extract it on your device so you can access the individual data files.

Current X instructions: How to download your X archive.

Step 2

Find the bookmarks file inside the extracted archive.

Sendlore’s current X importer is intentionally narrow. It reads the bookmark data file rather than asking you to upload the rest of your account archive.

Open the extracted archive folderDo not upload the ZIP itself. Sendlore’s live Import UI expects the inner file.
Open the data folderThe Sendlore Help Center and current importer expect X bookmark data under this directory.
Locate bookmarks.jsThe full relative path used by the current Sendlore import workflow is data/bookmarks.js.
Keep the rest of the archive privateYour X archive can contain substantially more account information than Sendlore needs for bookmark migration. Upload only the expected bookmarks file.
Expected Sendlore file

data/bookmarks.js

This is the current file documented by Sendlore for X/Twitter bookmark imports. Archive contents can change over time; if X changes its export structure, use the current Sendlore Help Center guidance rather than guessing at another account-data file.

Step 3

Upload the file and review what Sendlore found.

The import flow parses the bookmark entries first so you can inspect the migration instead of creating saves blindly.

01

Choose X / Twitter

Open Sendlore Import and select the source for X/Twitter bookmarks.

02

Upload bookmarks.js

Select the file from the extracted X archive, not the original ZIP.

03

Review detected posts

Confirm the links Sendlore parsed and check any duplicate warnings before proceeding.

04

Choose processing depth

Use Light import for the backlog or Full AI when richer source processing is worth the credits.

Light import vs. Full AI

Move the bookmarks first. Process the valuable ones more deeply.

A social bookmark library can contain hundreds of posts whose future value is uncertain. Sendlore separates preserving the link from paying to enrich the destination.

Light importKeeps the detected X links and available basic details without spending full-processing credits on every item in the archive.
Full AIAttempts richer processing during import and can use credits per item. What Sendlore can extract from an X destination depends on the source and current platform access.
Social-source fidelity varies.

An imported X bookmark is not a promise that Sendlore captured every word, image, reply, thread, or media asset from the original post. Some saves may retain a lighter or metadata-only representation. The original X URL remains important.

After import, X bookmarks can be retrieved alongside the rest of your Sendlore library. Demo library shown.

After the import

Get X bookmarks out of a private timeline and into the research workflow.

X makes Bookmarks private and easy to revisit inside X. Sendlore is useful when those saved posts need to reconnect with work happening outside the platform.

Search across platformsAn X post can appear beside relevant articles, YouTube videos, files, and notes rather than requiring a separate social search.
Add your own context going forwardNew Sendlore captures can record why a source mattered so the future retrieval problem is not limited to the post itself.
Reorganize what survived the migrationUse folders, types, and tags to separate competitor research, ideas, references, products, people, or projects.
Ask across richer saved evidenceWhen enough source information exists, Sendlore Ask can retrieve relevant saves and connect its answer back to the supporting notes.

Privacy and archive scope

Your X archive contains more than bookmarks. Upload only what Sendlore needs.

X Bookmarks are private in XX’s current Help Center states that Bookmarks are only viewable to you inside your X account.
The account archive is broaderX describes its downloadable archive as containing account information such as posts, messages, media, followers/following, lists, and other account data in addition to the information you may need for migration.
Sendlore needs the bookmark fileFor this workflow, select data/bookmarks.js rather than uploading unrelated archive files.
Do not upload credentialsYour X password, authentication codes, session cookies, or other sign-in secrets are not part of the Sendlore bookmark-import requirement.
Deleted posts may not be recoverableIf an old bookmark points to a removed post or unavailable account, importing the URL cannot restore content that X no longer serves.
Private/restricted content can remain limitedAn exported bookmark URL does not give Sendlore special permission to bypass X login, account, or content restrictions when processing the destination later.

Questions

Import X / Twitter bookmarks FAQ

What file does Sendlore need from my X archive?

The current Sendlore import workflow expects data/bookmarks.js from the extracted X account archive.

How do I request my X archive?

X currently directs users to Settings and privacy → Your account → Download an archive of your data. After identity verification, request the archive and wait for X to notify you when the download is ready.

How long does X take to prepare the archive?

X says archive preparation may take a few days. That timing is controlled by X, not Sendlore.

Should I upload the ZIP archive to Sendlore?

No. Sendlore’s live Import UI does not currently accept ZIP archives for this workflow. Extract the archive first and upload the bookmarks file inside it.

Are X bookmarks public?

No. X states that Bookmarks are private and only viewable to you within your X account. Uploading your exported bookmark file to Sendlore is a separate action you initiate.

Will Sendlore import every reply or thread connected to a bookmarked post?

No such guarantee is made. The import preserves the bookmark URL, while later extraction depends on what the X source exposes and what Sendlore can successfully capture.

What happens if an X bookmark already exists in Sendlore?

The current import review checks normalized URLs and can mark likely duplicates. You can skip an existing item or deliberately import another copy.

Does importing X bookmarks use credits?

Light import avoids full-processing credits for every URL. Full AI can use credits as Sendlore attempts richer processing for the imported sources.

Can I search imported X bookmarks by meaning?

Yes when enough searchable information exists in those saves. Sendlore can combine semantic and lexical/full-text signals across stored library information rather than relying only on the post URL.

Bring X research into the rest of your library

Your bookmarks can remain private without remaining trapped inside one timeline.

Request the archive, upload the bookmarks file you actually need, review the detected links, and make the useful posts retrievable beside everything else you save.
