Saving Links, Notes, Images, and Files
Sendlore’s Save flow accepts a link or note directly and can also handle supported images and documents. This guide covers the current capture paths and the most common limits.
Use the Save dialog
- Open Sendlore and press Save or use
N. - Paste one URL, paste several URLs, or type a note.
- To save several links at once, choose Import multiple.
- To upload a file, choose Add a file or drop a file onto the library.
For a URL, Enter submits the save. For a text note, use the Save button or Ctrl/Command + Enter so normal line breaks still work.
Supported files and current limits
The current capture flow accepts images and text-bearing documents including PDF, Word .docx, PowerPoint .pptx, Excel .xlsx, EPUB, HTML, CSV, JSON, TXT, and Markdown.
- General file limit: up to 25 MB.
- PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are limited to 12 MB in the current file picker.
- Older Office formats such as
.doc,.ppt, and.xlsmay need to be resaved as the newer format. - Scanned PDFs or picture-only documents may fail if no readable text is found.
- ZIP files are not supported in the regular capture flow; extract the archive first.
Add context before you forget it
Why saved is optional but useful. It records the reason the item mattered to you. You can also file the item into a folder during capture or leave it Unsorted for later.
Five to ten words is often enough: “competitor pricing example,” “quote for research article,” or “repair guide for dryer.”
What happens if Sendlore thinks you already saved it?
When you save manually through Sendlore's web-app Save dialog, an exact or similar existing item may trigger the Looks familiar screen. The choices can include Merge, Replace source, Add as related, and Keep both.
Merge before saving attaches the new URL as an alternate source to the existing note and appends any new "why saved" text. It does not combine note bodies, summaries, or media. If both items should remain separate, choose Keep both.
After saving, Sendlore may flag suspected near-duplicates for review. You can mark a flagged note Unique, Related, or Keep both, but cannot merge two existing notes. Chrome extension and iOS Shortcut captures do not show the manual pre-save duplicate prompt.
What is a Light save?
If richer processing is unavailable because your credit balance is exhausted, Sendlore still keeps the source and basic details. The app labels these as waiting for credits and can enrich them later when credits become available.
Duplicates and failed saves do not consume capture credits in the current capture flow. Heavier media and carousels can use more credits than a standard save.
Saving from a phone
The Sendlore web app works in a mobile browser. On iPhone, the current app also provides a Send to Sendlore Shortcut that can be added to the iOS Share Sheet.
