Set Up and Troubleshoot the Sendlore Chrome Extension
The current Chrome extension is version 1.4.0. It can save the current page, a right-clicked link, or highlighted text, and it uses a scoped connection key tied to your Sendlore account.
1. Install the extension
Install Sendlore from the Chrome Web Store. The current extension is built for Chromium browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Arc.
2. Create and paste a connection key
- In Sendlore, open the Chrome Extension setup page.
- Choose Create connection key. Copy it immediately; the full key is shown once.
- Open the extension’s Options page.
- Paste the key. The hosted Sendlore App URL is already filled in for normal use.
- Choose Save & test. A successful test says the extension is connected.
The extension key is scoped for capture. Creating a replacement disconnects extensions using the previous extension key but does not replace unrelated personal API tokens.
3. Save from the browser
- Click the Sendlore extension icon to save the current tab.
- Right-click a page or link and use the Sendlore save action.
- Highlight text and use the context menu to save the selection.
- Use
Ctrl+Shift+Son Windows orCommand+Shift+Son Mac to save the current tab.
Saves are sent by the extension’s background worker, so closing the popup does not cancel a save that has already started.
4. Understand “Include the page’s text”
Version 1.4.0 includes an Options setting called Include the page’s text when I save. When enabled, an explicit save of the current page can read visible page text once and send it with the save. This can help with pages that Sendlore’s server cannot read directly, including some login-gated pages.
- Nothing is read continuously in the background.
- The extension only attempts page-text collection on an explicit save of the page you are viewing.
- Right-clicking a different link does not send the current page’s body text.
- Chrome-protected pages such as
chrome://pages or the Chrome Web Store may not allow page access.
