Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Nero Niche LLC (“Nero Niche,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates neroniche.com, the Sendlore application at sendlore.neroniche.com, and related Sendlore capture tools and the browser extension (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

It applies to visitors, Sendlore account holders, and people who contact us. Third-party websites and platforms that you choose to save or visit have their own privacy practices. Our Terms of Service govern use of the Services separately.

2. Privacy at a glance

• Personal library: Your account library is designed to be private by default. Sharing an individual save requires an action by you.
• AI features: Some saved information may be sent to external AI, extraction, transcription, or search providers to provide the feature you requested.
• Model training: We do not use private saved content to train our own AI models or intentionally submit it for model-training purposes.
• Export and deletion: You can export saved notes through Settings and request deletion or use the in-app Delete account control.
• Advertising: We do not use private saved content to create targeted advertisements or sell saved libraries.
• Contact: [email protected] handles privacy requests.

These are summaries; the sections below explain important limits and exceptions.

3. Categories of information we collect

Information you provide

• Account and profile: email address, authentication identifier, name/display name or avatar if provided, sign-in method, preferences, and account settings.
• Saved and imported material: URLs, page titles, selected text, articles, notes, “Why saved” descriptions, tags, folders, reminders, documents, images, screenshots, supported audio/video and social sources, imported bookmarks/export files, and material intentionally sent to your account through supported capture methods.
• Information derived from saves: accessible page metadata, source and author details, canonicalized URLs, transcripts or captions when available, OCR text, summaries, extracted facts, classifications, search indexes/embeddings, and processing/quality status.
• Messages and requests: correspondence, feedback, support reports, error screenshots, and information needed to respond.
• Billing: subscription tier, purchase and credit activity, transaction references, billing status and limited payment-related identifiers provided by a payment processor. Payment card details are handled through the payment provider rather than being stored as ordinary Sendlore notes.

Information collected through operation of the Services

• Technical and security data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, request time, basic diagnostic logs, security events, rate-limit records, and error information.
• Usage and preference data: certain account and feature events, interface preferences, session/authentication data, and cookie/local-storage identifiers where used.
• Source/platform data: publicly available or appropriately authorized information returned by sites and content services when you ask us to capture their content.

Some files or webpages you save may contain information about other people. You are responsible for choosing material you are permitted to submit and for avoiding unnecessary sensitive personal information.

4. How information reaches Sendlore

Information may come directly from your account actions; sign-in providers; URL previews and webpage extraction; the Chrome extension; an explicit iPhone Shortcut or share workflow; uploads and bookmark/social-platform export files; email-forwarding or inbound capture features where available; supported third-party services; and our hosting, security, analytics, and payment systems.

Importing an export file does not automatically mean Sendlore has ongoing access to the corresponding social account. We do not claim continuous access to Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, or other social accounts merely because their exported files can be imported.

5. How we use the information

We process information to create and secure accounts; receive and store your selected saves; fetch available source metadata and content; make notes, previews, tags, summaries, transcripts and searchable representations; detect duplicate or related saves; organize your library; provide Search and Ask; deliver reminders or account messages when enabled; provide imports, exports and sharing; administer credits, subscriptions and purchases; respond to support inquiries; detect abuse and fraud; investigate incidents; troubleshoot reliability issues; comply with law; and maintain and improve user-facing Services.

We use limited operational and analytics data to understand performance and feature usage. We do not need the text of your private notes or search queries in general website analytics to measure ordinary product activity.

6. AI processing, Search, Ask and source limitations

When an AI-assisted feature runs, relevant source material, text, media, prompts, or extracted context may be transmitted to contracted or integrated AI and processing providers. Depending on configuration and source, these may include OpenAI, Google/Gemini, and services for metadata, OCR, transcription, web extraction, embeddings, ranking, or media analysis. Not every provider is used for every item, and supported capabilities depend on the source and deployed configuration.

Search may use indexed text, summaries, descriptions, tags, metadata, embeddings and other captured evidence. Ask is intended to answer using relevant content retrieved from your saved library and to link back to saved sources. AI results can be incomplete or incorrect; important information should be checked against its source. Restricted, deleted, paywalled or blocked sources may yield only partial or metadata-only saves.

AI training: Nero Niche does not use your private saved content to train its own AI models or intentionally submit that content for AI model training. Service providers may process information on our behalf to operate requested functionality, subject to their applicable terms, safeguards, and retention practices. This is not a claim that no third-party systems ever receive your submitted content.

7. Chrome extension, iPhone Shortcut and capture permissions

The Sendlore Chrome extension can save a page, link, or selected text when you explicitly trigger a save. Depending on the Options setting, it may collect visible text from the current page being saved once and transmit that text with the page URL, title and any note you supplied. The extension is not designed to record your entire browsing history or continuously read unrelated tabs. Browser-protected pages may prevent collection. Its connection token is stored locally in the browser’s extension storage and transmitted when authenticating capture requests.

On supported iPhone workflows, a user-initiated Shortcut/share action can send the selected link or text and an account-specific connection credential to Sendlore. Do not share extension or Shortcut credentials. You can revoke or replace them using available account controls.

The Chrome extension’s optional permissions and the data collected when you save are explained further in the extension guide.

8. Imports, other platforms, and email capture

You can upload supported files or export files from browsers and certain social/video platforms to import saved items. We process the submitted export to identify saved links and any available metadata. We do not require your social-media password to import an export file. A file can contain handles, names, timestamps, descriptions, private context or other personal data; review it before uploading.

Where email forwarding or email-to-capture is configured, relevant sender/recipient identifiers, subject, body text and links may be handled to associate the message with your account and extract supported items. Do not forward confidential material or credentials unless you are comfortable having them processed to deliver the feature.

Opening or saving third-party content does not change the privacy policy or rights of the original platform. Their sites may receive ordinary requests from your browser when you open them.

9. Private libraries and public sharing

Saved library items are intended to be accessible only through the owning authenticated account unless you take a sharing action. If you enable a public share link for an individual save, anyone with that link may be able to view the published note’s selected content without signing in. The public representation may include a title, description, saved-source details, summary, or other fields presented by the sharing interface.

Before sharing, review the actual shared page. Do not create public links to material you are not authorized to share. You may revoke a share link in Sendlore; revocation stops the live link from resolving through our sharing service but cannot retract screenshots, downloads, cached material, or copies already made by recipients or third parties.

Public share links do not by themselves turn your entire library into a public or collaborative workspace.

10. Payments, subscriptions and transaction records

We use payment infrastructure, including Stripe where configured, to offer paid Sendlore plans, credits and subscription management. The payment processor may collect billing names, payment methods, transaction details and fraud signals directly under its own privacy terms. We receive and retain the minimum payment and subscription data needed for account administration, reconciliation, disputes, refunds, fraud prevention and legal compliance.

Canceling a paid subscription does not by itself delete your library. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are distinct actions.

11. Cookies, local storage, analytics and site technologies

Nero Niche’s WordPress marketing site and Sendlore’s web application may use cookies, local storage or similar browser technologies for sign-in/session continuity, security, theme and display preferences, remembering selections, performance, and limited measurement. WordPress plugins and embedded third-party content can set additional cookies or make network requests when used.

Product analytics: Sendlore’s code can use PostHog for selected product events and user identification when configured. The current integration disables automatic pageview tracking, autocapture, session recording and surveys and filters sensitive event properties. This does not mean every site or service operates without technical logs or analytics.

You can manage or block cookies through browser controls. Doing so may impair authentication, preferences and some site features. Where a particular jurisdiction requires separate consent for nonessential cookies, we must obtain it through an appropriate consent mechanism; a policy alone does not substitute for that mechanism.

Third-party pages linked from the Services may operate their own analytics and tracking independently.

12. Service providers and third-party disclosures

We may disclose the information reasonably needed to provide a requested feature to categories of vendors such as:

• Hosting, database, authentication and file storage: for example, Supabase and app hosting/infrastructure providers.
• AI and content processors: for example, OpenAI, Google/Gemini, metadata providers such as Iframely, or web/social capture, OCR, media and transcription providers when enabled.
• Payments: for example, Stripe.
• Analytics and error diagnostics: for example, PostHog or hosting/error monitoring where configured.
• Email and support: services needed to receive contact messages, send service notices or operate supported email capture.

Providers and technical routes can change as the product evolves. They may receive account identifiers, usage/diagnostic data, content submitted for processing, or payment-related information according to the service being delivered. We also may disclose information at your direction; to comply with valid legal process; investigate abuse or a security incident; protect rights and safety; or in a lawful business reorganization, acquisition or asset transfer subject to applicable safeguards.

We do not sell private saved libraries or use their content to target third-party advertising. We do not knowingly disclose Google API user data to advertising networks or data brokers. The rules for a particular provider may apply in addition to this policy.

13. Google sign-in, YouTube and Google API data

If you choose Google sign-in, we may receive identifiers and basic profile details that Google provides for authentication. If a supported feature uses Google or YouTube API data, the requested data and scopes depend on that feature and your authorization, and we use received information to provide the disclosed user-facing capability and related security/operational functions.

Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements where applicable. We do not use Google API user data for advertising, profiling for creditworthiness, or unrelated data products. You may revoke Google-connected permissions through your Google Account; where an in-app disconnect control is available, you can use it as well.

Merely saving a public YouTube URL or uploading a YouTube export is not the same as authorizing ongoing access to your Google Account.

14. Security and account responsibilities

We use a combination of account authentication, access controls, scoped credentials, network security such as HTTPS, and other technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. Access to personal saves is designed to be owner-scoped, and deliberately shared items use distinct public links. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.

We do not claim end-to-end encryption, zero-knowledge storage, or that only you could ever technically access the content. Operating the Services and providing AI processing may require trusted systems and vendors to process selected information.

Protect your password, sign-in access, extension keys, sync/API tokens, and any public share links. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or a connection key has been compromised.

15. Retention, Trash, deletion and backups

We retain account data and saved content as needed to maintain an active account and deliver the Services, unless you delete it or a lawful retention obligation applies. Items moved to Trash may remain recoverable until permanently deleted or the account is removed. Some technical copies, cached results, logs and backups may remain temporarily after deletion while ordinary retention or recovery cycles complete.

Subscription, payment, fraud-prevention, dispute or compliance records may need to be kept longer where required or permitted by law. Publicly shared information copied outside Sendlore cannot be recalled from recipients. We do not represent that account deletion immediately erases every copy from every provider or backup.

Retention periods vary by data type and provider. We aim to retain personal data only for legitimate operational, security or legal needs; precise retention schedules should be confirmed against actual vendor and infrastructure settings rather than assumed from this policy.

16. Access, export, correction, sharing and account deletion

You can review and update many details in the application, edit or delete saves, revoke individual share links, manage connection tokens, and use the available export controls. The current Download my saves action in Settings generates JSON and Markdown files containing note records, including a marker for notes in Trash. The implementation currently retrieves up to 5,000 saves in one export and should not be presented as an unlimited complete data archive for larger libraries. Uploaded binary media and every system log are not necessarily bundled into the same export.

To permanently close an account, open Sendlore Settings and use Delete account; the current flow requires typing DELETE to confirm. The application attempts to cancel active paid subscriptions before deleting the authentication account and related application records. This is intended to be irreversible, subject to the retention exceptions above.

For access, correction, deletion, export, or assistance when you cannot sign in, contact [email protected] with the subject Privacy Request. Please include your account email and the type of request; do not include passwords or secret tokens. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

17. Privacy rights, requests, appeals and choices

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply to our operations, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain copies of personal information; withdraw consent; object to or restrict certain processing; or opt out of sales, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising or certain profiling.

To exercise an applicable right, email [email protected] with Privacy Rights Request. We will verify requests as appropriate and respond within applicable legal timeframes. You do not need to create a new account solely to submit a privacy request.

If we decline an applicable request, you may ask us to review the decision by replying with Privacy Request Appeal in the subject. Where applicable law provides a regulator complaint process or appeal rights, we will supply required information about that route. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights granted by applicable law.

We do not currently describe private saved content as being sold or used for third-party targeted advertising. If any particular marketing-site technology qualifies as a sale, sharing or targeting activity under applicable law, appropriate disclosure and opt-out controls must be offered; contact us to review a specific request.

18. International processing and legal bases

The Services and our vendors may process data in the United States and other countries, which may offer different levels of legal protection from your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on applicable transfer mechanisms and provider safeguards.

For users in jurisdictions requiring a stated legal basis, our processing purposes may rely on performance of a contract (account creation, saving, searching, exports, paid features), legitimate interests (security, support, service reliability and limited product improvement), legal obligations (required financial or compliance records), or consent where required (certain optional cookies, integrations or other optional processing). The appropriate basis depends on the specific activity and governing law.

If the GDPR or UK data protection law applies to our processing of your information, you may also have rights relating to portability, erasure, restriction, objection and lodging a complaint with the appropriate supervisory authority. Contact us for details relevant to your request.

19. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information in circumstances requiring action, we will take appropriate steps to delete it or otherwise comply with applicable law. Parents or guardians may contact [email protected] with a concern.

Different jurisdictions may impose additional age or parental-consent requirements.

20. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services, vendors or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the effective or last-updated date. If a change is material and applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it through appropriate account, email or in-product communications before the new use where required. Earlier versions may be requested where available.
